I had a gchat conversation with Leggy today:

Cubing and crafting with Fig

I went to Fig's craft night at Socha. My craft was Rubik's cube. The other crafters (who were largely knitters) were skeptical, but then I wowed them. First by solving the "Dedmore H." Fig captured the fleeting moment on her phone.



Then I finished the dang thing.



If you need a tranlation:
Fig says "talk"
I say "Why talk? It shows for itself."

Obviously I was impaired by my own glory. I can't get too proud because Leggy solved hers in like 4 days and it took me almost three weeks.

Taxes/Internets/Thistles

I want to be the first person I know to do their taxes before Groundhog's Day. Can I do it?

Largely it will depend on my trusty/not-trusty free internet connection through Meraki and the Free the Net network. They'll send you a free "repeater" in like two days. Right now it's slow but awesome. The more people that send away for one, the faster I can do my taxes.

Turkey Days

If you are me on Thanksgiving: You go to your aunt Jean's house to meet up with your mom and your Jean and many dogs (8).



Then you go to the aquarium for dinner.



Then you play poker with your family and some small dogs.




Then a certain small dog sleeps with you.



You also play scrabble and get together with the FolkaDots (these pictures are actually from a previous FolkaDot gathering).




Then you Turkey Trot with a bee.
